StevensonUniversity
has appointed Bob Mikus as the new Dean of Students. He began working at StevensonUniversity in December 2007 as the
Associate Dean and Director of Residence Life.
In his new position as Dean of
Students, Mikus will be responsible for student conduct issues and managing the
judicial program. He will also be working with Student Affairs focusing on
student growth and development.
“I am grateful to have led the
Residence Life program for the past year and a half, and I am excited about
contributing to student learning in this new role,” Mikus said. “It is my hope
to further advance our sense of community rooted in tolerance, civility, and
respect. Empowering students to realize their potential as change agents within
our community will hopefully inspire them to carry these same values beyond StevensonUniversity.”
Mikus has a bachelor of arts in psychology
from LebanonValleyCollege and a masters in human
services psychology from LaSalleUniversity. Currently, he
is pursuing a doctorate in administration and leadership studies from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania.
“Bob will bring a positive, forward
approach to student development through educational programs, promoting a
culture of respect, responsibility, and integrity,” said Claire Moore, Vice President
for Student Affairs and former Dean of Students.
Mikus and his family reside in East
Lampeter, Pennsylvania.
