May 21, 2009

< < BACK

Stevenson University has appointed Bob Mikus as the new Dean of Students. He began working at Stevenson University in December 2007 as the Associate Dean and Director of Residence Life.

In his new position as Dean of Students, Mikus will be responsible for student conduct issues and managing the judicial program. He will also be working with Student Affairs focusing on student growth and development.

“I am grateful to have led the Residence Life program for the past year and a half, and I am excited about contributing to student learning in this new role,” Mikus said. “It is my hope to further advance our sense of community rooted in tolerance, civility, and respect. Empowering students to realize their potential as change agents within our community will hopefully inspire them to carry these same values beyond Stevenson University.”

Mikus has a bachelor of arts in psychology from Lebanon Valley College and a masters in human services psychology from LaSalle University. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in administration and leadership studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“Bob will bring a positive, forward approach to student development through educational programs, promoting a culture of respect, responsibility, and integrity,” said Claire Moore, Vice President for Student Affairs and former Dean of Students.

Mikus and his family reside in East Lampeter, Pennsylvania.
