Stevenson University will host an Into the Courtroom: Forensic Career Symposium on Thursday, April 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for prospective students interested in the field of forensics. The event will take place on Stevenson’s Owings Mills campus in the School of Business and Leadership.

The symposium will include demonstrations of new technology in the mock trial courtroom, followed by an overview of the graduate program in forensic studies and forensic science. Irvin Litofsky, director of the forensic service section of the Baltimore County Police Department; Ray Peroutka, chief executive officer and founder of Invotex; and Robert Garvey, CPA, principal of McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond, will be on hand to discuss future career opportunities in forensic areas.

Admissions counselors from the School of Graduate and Professional studies will also be available after the conclusion of the program to answer any questions regarding the admissions process.

Attendees will enjoy light fare and networking opportunities with faculty and staff. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required. Go to “Into the Courtroom: Forensic Career Symposium” at www.stevenson.edu under “upcoming events.”
