Villa Julie Publishes History of Its First 60 Years

Villa Julie College has published a history book of the
college as it celebrates its 60th anniversary during 2007-08. “A
Vision and a Promise: Villa Julie College” is now on sale at the
College Store at Villa Julie’s Stevenson campus.
“The process of creating this book has allowed us a time of
reflection as we renew our commitment to the students we serve,” says Villa Julie President Kevin J. Manning. “We have learned from our past during the current period of significant growth at Villa Julie College.”
VIlla Julie’s transformation from a one-year medical
secretarial school to a bustling career-focused college is nothing
short of extraordinary. “A Vision and a Promise,” uses vibrant
interviews, first-person accounts, and historical photographs to take
the reader from the College's founding to its place today as
Maryland’s third-largest independent undergraduate institution.
The beautifully designed hardback book will serve as an important
piece in the library of anyone interested in local history. Books are
