Villa Julie College Honored as Top Institution Nationally by Technology Firm Datatel

Villa Julie College was chosen as the top four-year institution in the country for the 2007 Datatel Partner in Excellence Award, awarded by national software engineering firm Datatel, Inc.
The award recognizes Villa Julie's collaboration with the company in the College's implementation of new software initiatives designed to streamline student, faculty, and staff data. Villa Julie was the only four-year institution to receive the honor. The College received an unrestricted monetary gift and a special plaque.
"We are honored to receive this award," says Villa Julie President Kevin J. Manning. "Our partnership with Datatel allows us to use their products to the fullest capacity in order to better serve our students."
Villa Julie uses Datatel software to manage information for admissions, financial aid, human resources, fundraising, alumni relations, and business office functions. The partnership has allowed the College to more efficiently track the awarding of financial aid, better manage employee benefits, and allow for the smooth transition of data from department to department.
"We have greatly benefited from Datatel's expertise and true commitment to see a project through to the end," said Steve Engorn, chief information officer at Villa Julie. "Datatel treats us as if we are their only client by taking the time to understand our specific needs."
Datatel serves more than 730 higher education institutions across North America.
