Stevenson University Unveils Student Solutions Center
December 23, 2005
< < BACK
Shortly after Stevenson University students return for the spring
semester, they will find a comprehensive resource designed to answer
questions and solve problems for departments across campus.
The Student Solutions Center will involve the cooperative efforts of
the Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Advising, Registrar
and Student Activities offices to provide a one-stop resource for
students to ask questions, resolve issues, and manage their financial
relationship with the University.
“Currently, students often need to visit departments in multiple
buildings on campus to take care of all their necessary business,” says
Stevenson University President Kevin J. Manning, Ph.D. “We plan to
enhance customer service through the Student Solutions Center and give
students easy access to information.”
The Center, which will be directed by Susan Ferrer, will have the
ability to handle issues relating to the Admissions, Financial Aid,
Student Accounts, Advising, Registrar and Student Activities offices as
well as general College issues. The Center can also refer students to
appropriate resources.
Ferrer, who has worked in the Student Accounts Office at Stevenson
University since 2004, will implement the day-to-day operations of the
Center, develop a presence on the Stevenson University Web site for the
Center, and coordinate a specialized phone system designed to enhance
customer service. Before joining the University, Ferrer worked for
NextiraOne, LLC, in Houston, where she managed a staff of 35
responsible for accounts receivable, billing, and cash functions.
Ferrer lives in Timonium.
