EDUCATION
B.S., Brescia College
M.S., University of Cincinnati
Diane Payne received her BS in chemistry from Brescia College (University) in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1974 and her MS in inorganic chemistry from the University of Cincinnati in 1977. Her thesis, "Studies on Cobalt (III) Complexes Containing Coordinated Sulfur," included the crystal structure of a cobalt (III) - thiocyanate complex.
She began teaching at Villa Julie in the fall of 1998, and currently coordinates the general chemistry course and the supplemental instruction program (SI) for the science courses. Prior to her position at Villa Julie, she taught at Pembroke State University in North Carolina.
